One-Shot (17/04/10)
Christophe of Back-Talk out-pimps Alec Baldwin, thanks to the one-two punch of poetic profanities and Gallic flair. I know I've already linked to this episode, but, the more I think about it, the more I must insist you listen to it now. Even if you've already done so. Chris is funny.
As far as news goes, this was pretty good to come home to today. I'm sure, at this point, the non-sports fans amongst you will know without even clicking on that where it's heading, so I'll save you the sigh. Manchester United beat their local "rivals" City 1-0. This is a good thing.

One thing that doesn't get said enough around here about sports - I wish those of you with no interest in any game or side knew how satisfying it feels when The Best Forward In The World Right Now (who plays for your team) puts you into the lead in the first minute, as Wayne Rooney has just done for Manchester United.

One-Shot (22/03/10)
Sorry for keeping you. Been busy reveling in the glory of Manchester United's 2-1 triumph over the forces of Darkne-, sorry, "Liverpool." And being wound up by technology. Really wound up. If I didn't have such good self-control, there may well have been a bizarre spate of injuries caused by computers being ejected through windows.

One-Shot (15/03/10)
Brown sauce is to ham and cheese toasties what Darren Fletcher is to Man United: the most valuable unsung hero.

One-Shot (23/10/09)
Sunday's clash between Liverpool and Manchester United is the stuff Sky Sports employees dream of*, especially considering the former's less than stellar form and the latter's still-open wounds from their last league clash. However, none of this changes the fact that the Premiership is still far from being even close to decided. It's October. October. You can throw all the stats you like at me, cynics, but it won't change a thing; neither United nor Liverpool are to be written off at this stage, regardless of how many defeats they may have incurred.

One-Shot (20/09/09)
You knew (or should've known) it was coming!
Some thoughts:
Fletcher(aldo) was imperious and fully deserving of his Man of the Match award. Giggs was joyous. Despite what the Bitter Blue Facebook contingent protest, we battered them for most of that second half (and let's not forget the great start.) With the exception of Bellamy's wonder-strike, we gifted them their goals - that said, he should've been closed down. Oh, and Ireland was virtually anonymous. An instant classic.

The new Manchester United home kit looks much better up close, but there's still way too much black.

One-Shot (28/05/09)
Sorry, I'm late. I got smacked in the face (with the ball) at football last night so if that sounds like a sufficient excuse then that's what I'll say, and, if not, where's your heart? Better late than never is the way to go, people.
Well, United lost. I'm too disappointed to link to the news item. You probably heard or read all about it anyway. I've been saying variations of "they asked for it" since the final whistle. All of this means about as much to you as a rhubarb jet*, I'm sure. Was I about to let a Champions League Final featuring United - won or lost - pass without comment. Nah, mate. Nah.
* band name?

One-Shot (17/05/09)
If yesterday's One-Shot proves anything, it's just how much of a vacuum this blog is. How else can an article so playfully rub Scouse noses in United's momentous title win and not garner even a single comment? Goading rival supporters and showing a complete lack and misunderstanding of sportsmanship is what Liverpool supporters do best. The results are in; truly, this is the back of beyond.

One-Shot (16/05/09): Manchester United Premiership Champions 08/09 Commemorative Special
- or- how the Scouse must Accept that one of their Greatest Comebacks is Destroyed.
Uninitiated, behold! Manchester United are Premiership Champions... again. And that's a fact. Just in case you missed the subtlety at work above, that's United... Champions.

You blog. Your blog is read by, on a good day, three people. Probably. 100% of these three people have zero interest in reading about football (presumably). But you like bringing them football news and reflections. Do you:
It's yet more Champions League drama as Barcelona book a controversial place in the final against United!
Overriding thoughts: Drogba should've sealed the win without the need for a penalty - or penalties. His behaviour after the match was disgraceful (see also Terry, Lampard, and Ballack's ref-chasing.) Do you want to know more? Pose a question in the comments section belo- oh, now there's no need for profanity.
Goodbye, reader/s. Goodbye.
- Pander.
- Stick to your guns.
- Get sleep needed much.
